What is myscreen?
myscreen is an interactive way to watch various KDE people work and play. There are people from all areas of KDE. As well as viewing the screen of the user, you can also view stats about them, which are also updated live.

How do I get onto myscreen?
myscreen is currently invitation-only. However, if you would like to be considered for addition, email me at danny (at) myscreen.org.

Why are the screens so small?
There are 2 main reasons why the screen captures are small by default: bandwidth, and privacy. By keeping the screen captures small, it is likely that the text will not be readable, whilst still allowing the viewer to determine what the user is doing. However, the user may choose to upload a larger image - if the user is uploading larger screen captures, these will be accessible by clicking the smaller screen image on their page.

Why are the screen captures sometimes blurry?
We think that blurring the image is better than turning off captures completely, as you still get a good idea of what the user is doing, and the user gets the privacy they need at certain times. The image should return to normal when the user has finished the task that needed a certain level of privacy.

How are the buzz ratings calculated?
The buzz ratings are derived from a number of sources, including commit activity, mentions on webpages, and short-term news and discussion. Each source is weighted based on overall importance and influence on "buzz", then added together to produce the buzz rating.
